From waste to resource
on site, with traceability

Heavy Stone Spain is registered with the General Registry of Waste Producers and Operators of Galicia as an operator authorised to recycle non-hazardous construction and demolition waste (CDW) in mobile-plant regime. Our two plants travel to the project site itself, which removes unnecessary transport, reduces carbon footprint and lets the recycled aggregate go straight back into the production cycle.

The authorisation is R0506 — Recovery of inorganic waste for the production of aggregates, granted by the Galician Regional Directorate for Environmental Quality and Sustainability on 17 July 2025, with a validity of eight years and automatic renewal. Environmental ID (NIMA): 1500132850.

Authorised LER codes
for plant intake

We accept only the inert inorganic fractions specified in the resolution. Any waste outside these codes is handled separately through an authorised operator.

Permitted uses of the recycled aggregate

Authorised applications
in Galicia and the rest of Spain

The recycled aggregate produced by our recovery activity may be used for the following purposes, provided it meets the end-of-waste criteria set by the regional government and the applicable technical specifications.

Unbound applications

  • Granular material in road construction (embankments, improved subgrades)
  • Localised fills under sealed surfaces (infiltration <6 mm/yr)
  • Urbanisation of industrial or residential areas under sealed surfaces
  • Sub-base aggregate for pavement structural layers under PG-3

Hydraulic-binder bound applications

  • Soil-cement and cement-treated gravel in pavement structural layers
  • Aggregates for mortar production
  • Aggregates for structural concrete (RD 470/2021 · Spanish Structural Code)
  • Aggregates for non-structural concrete and precast units
  • Pozzolanic bricks (UNE 41410 / UNE-EN 771-1)
Composition-based grading

Five categories
of recycled aggregate

The proportion by weight of the main components determines the applicable category and, therefore, the uses in which it can replace natural aggregate.

Management system
compliant with Spanish Law 7/2022

Each batch of recycled aggregate is tracked from the intake of waste to the delivery at the destination site, with a Declaration of Conformity issued by HSS to certify the end-of-waste status.

  • Site-specific notice15 working days before each operation, via the Xunta's electronic platform (procedure MT201C).
  • GAIA chronological recordTelematic record of quantity, nature, origin, destination and treatment method per batch.
  • Declaration of ConformityIssued per output batch, in line with Annex III of the regional resolution.
  • Annual reportSummary of the chronological record before 1 March of each year (procedure MT201I).
  • CE marking on productsIn line with Regulation (EU) 305/2011 on construction products.
  • Active financial guaranteeDeposited with the regional Treasury for each plant, in line with RD 208/2022.
